Unified Police Department Midvale Precinct and South East Area

Unified Police Department Midvale Precinct provides advocacy services to primary and secondary victims of crime including domestic violence, sexual assault, assault, child abuse, people affected by homicide, etc. The mission of the Victim Services Program is to provide consistent support to victims of violent crimes by ensuring that victims are treated with respect, fairness, and dignity. We strive to educate, empower, encourage, and provide guidance and support through the criminal justice process to reduce the overall trauma to victims of crime. Midvale Precinct Crime Victims' Advocates and Volunteer Victims' Advocates serve as liaisons between the criminal justice courts and the victims. Advocates respond to incidents along with the police to assess the victims immediate needs and to provide them with the necessary services, with crisis intervention, and with information regarding their rights. Victims of crime also receive assistance and follow up services by phone or in person in the Midvale precinct’s office.
