CAPSA - Cache County and Bear Lake Area

CAPSA is a non-profit domestic violence, sexual abuse, and rape recovery center serving Cache County and the Bear Lake area. We provide support services for women, men, and children impacted by abuse. All of our services are free and confidential. Our shelter provides a refuge to start the healing process. CAPSA shelters men or women and their accompanied children. CAPSA caseworkers can provide referrals for employment, counseling, emergency food assistance, economic assistance, and action/safety planning. CAPSA therapists are licensed, and trauma informed to empower you to find hope and healing. CAPSA serves teens and children impacted by domestic violence or sexual abuse through individual therapy, educational groups, and safety planning. CAPSA also provides free educational and support groups for men and women. CAPSA prevention educators teach primary prevention throughout the community, giving presentations to middle and high school students, businesses, and community organizations. CAPSA also has a youth council, focused on raising awareness of teen dating violence and promoting protective factors against harm and violence. CAPSA is here for you, anytime, providing support and resources if you or someone you love has experienced domestic violence or sexual assault.

  • CAPSA’s services are available to any individual in Cache or Rich County who have experienced domestic violence or sexual violence. We also support individuals who are secondary survivors of domestic violence or sexual violence. Prevention Education services are available to anyone living in Cache or Rich County.
