Compensation/Reparation

Concerns related to victimization may include: assistance with the processing of emergency awards or reimbursement of eligible expenses for those who have no other way to pay for eligible expenses related to a crime. This includes, but is not limited to: medical bills; counseling expenses; burial and funeral costs; and lost wages – resulting from being victims of crime. Family members of crime victims also may be eligible for help.

Utah Office for Victims of Crime

Victims who suffer physical or psychological injury or death as a direct result of criminally injurious conduct may be eligible to receive reparations for crime related expenses. The Utah Office for Victims of Crime administers crime victim reparations awards and have advocacy services available onsite to support new applicants and victims of crime.
