Mass Violence (Domestic/International)

Victim Advocacy for all victims of crime, including but not limited to post-crisis support, needs assessments and assistance with obtaining services and reparations, safety planning, educational and preventative information, assistance with court processes and orders of protection.

We provide crisis intervention on scene and after victimization. We assist from the time 911 is called thru the criminal justice process and work with a variety of government and community agencies to assist victims of crime.

The Cedar City Police Department Victim Advocate program will meet with victims to assist them with criminal justice system assistance, information and referral to programs, personal advocacy/accompaniment to medical forensic exam; and law enforcement interviews, emotional support and/or safety services, as well as transportation assistance. This program also offers after hour critical incident response to victims and families of victims of crime and are in need of emergency services. Services can be requested through an officer, dispatch, or calling our after hours line.

All of our services are culturally competent and trauma informed. We provide a full suite of victim services, including advocacy, accompaniment to law enforcement interviews, court, victims reparations, safety plans, emergency transportation and shelter, protective orders, etc. We also provide assistance with housing, utility, moving; mental health services; legal services; food, basic needs (household, clothing etc.). Our services also include Family Peer Support and case management.

Circles of Comfort supports innocent survivors of violent crime and those who have experienced trauma from sudden and unexpected death. We accomplish this by offering an immediate expression of community support and providing essential information. Circles of Comfort envisions communities who are trauma aware, informed, and prepared.

Cottonwood Heights Victim Services helps victims of crime find resources and walk them through the criminal Justice process.

The Davis County Sheriff's Office Victim Advocate program will meet with victims to assist them with criminal/civil justice system assistance, information and referral to programs, personal advocacy/accompaniment to medical forensic exam, law enforcement interviews, and relocation assistance. The Davis County Sheriff's Office Victim Advocate program also offers after hour critical incident response to victims and families of victims of crime that are in need of emergency services.
