We exist to protect and restore human worth by confronting exploitation. Through victim services, education and outreach, and strategic partnerships, we are Utah's catalyst to create a state where all forms of human trafficking are intolerable.

Our mission is to strengthen families and protect children. Our Logan location is the home of our Starfish Children's Shelter for children ages 0-11. Our Kids Place is a free, temporary program offered to all caregivers in our community with children ages 11 and under. Our goal is to provide a safe, caring place for children to stay when caregivers need extra support, focusing on emotions and the needs of children and caregivers. Our Education team provides a variety of classes such as parenting and stepfamily classes, a body safety course called Kids Empowered, Mental Health First Aid training, and more. Our Family Educators also teach parents personalized strategies in the home. Our therapy services focus on two general needs in our community: Strengthening family relationships and healing from trauma. We provide counseling, marriage and family therapy, and a variety of therapy group and workshops.

CAPSA is a non-profit domestic violence, sexual abuse, and rape recovery center serving Cache County and the Bear Lake area. We provide support services for women, men, and children impacted by abuse. All of our services are free and confidential. Our shelter provides a refuge to start the healing process. CAPSA shelters men or women and their accompanied children. CAPSA caseworkers can provide referrals for employment, counseling, emergency food assistance, economic assistance, and action/safety planning. CAPSA therapists are licensed, and trauma informed to empower you to find hope and healing. CAPSA serves teens and children impacted by domestic violence or sexual abuse through individual therapy, educational groups, and safety planning. CAPSA also provides free educational and support groups for men and women. CAPSA prevention educators teach primary prevention throughout the community, giving presentations to middle and high school students, businesses, and community organizations. CAPSA also has a youth council, focused on raising awareness of teen dating violence and promoting protective factors against harm and violence. CAPSA is here for you, anytime, providing support and resources if you or someone you love has experienced domestic violence or sexual assault.

All of our services are culturally competent and trauma informed. We provide a full suite of victim services, including advocacy, accompaniment to law enforcement interviews, court, victims reparations, safety plans, emergency transportation and shelter, protective orders, etc. We also provide assistance with housing, utility, moving; mental health services; legal services; food, basic needs (household, clothing etc.). Our services also include Family Peer Support and case management.

Emergency, short-term shelter for victims/survivors of domestic violence. Women and children served at the shelter. Males are served at an alternate location. Victim support; resource referral and assistance with community resources. No on-site services. Rural community and area; no public transit.

Duchesne County Victim Services is a system-based advocacy located in the Sheriff's and County Attorney's offices. The advocates can respond on-scene or in offices located in Duchesne and Roosevelt. They provide direct services to assist victims of crime while they navigate the criminal justice system by providing education and support. They assist victims with obtaining orders of protection, Crime Victims Reparations (CVR), and by assisting with victim impact statements.
